Dirty Water System.
PJ Dore and Co. are specialists in the supply and installation of dirty water systems.
The system shown here is a Briggs Rotorainer. It is an essential element in the environmentally friendly disposal of dirty water.

The dirty water is collected into a storage tank with three separate chambers. The first two are settlement chambers which
remove the solids from the liquid and the last chamber stores the water for pumping.

An electric motor provides the power for the pumping station. This motor is linked to the pump via a gearbox. A suction
line draws the dirty water from the storage tank underneath and the pump sends the dirty water out under pressure, past
a non return valve, through the underground pipe system to the Rotorainer machine.

The dirty water system is piped underground to convenient points in the pasture. The trailing hose is hooked up and the Briggs Rotorainer dirty water system is ready for use.
When folded the Briggs Rotorainer is compact and light. It is easily moved to where it is required.
Setting up the Briggs Rotorainer is simple. Extend the boom arms and clamp them in place. Extend and secure thewire rope which pulls the Rotorainer along. Then attach the trailing hose to the Rotorainer.

The boom arms on the Briggs Rotorainer are driven by water pressure. They in turn move a cogged wheel which winds in a wire rope thus moving the machine and ensuring an even and efficient distribution of water.
When the Briggs Rotorainer reaches the end of it’s run it automatically switches off and it is ready to be moved for another run.

The Briggs Rotorainer dirty water system can operate at distances of up to two kilometres from the pumping station in the farmyard.
The control panel in the pumping station contains a thermostat which activates a heater beside the pump when the temperature drops below a certain level thus preventing any frost damage to the pump during the winter. A high and low pressure lock out system switches off the pump when the Rotorainer machine has de-activated at the end of it’s run.

When the Briggs Rotorainer has shut down at the end of it’s run a red light indicates the fact that the Rotorainer is ready to be repositioned for another run.
